Making Categories

Way to go, Sixth Graders! We are off and running with blogs, both 6A and 6B now. Everyone has been blogging about Past, Present, Future for the first topic.

Second topic – Book Review

Third topic – Favorite Things (or My Favorite Thing)

Fourth topic, which is optional and ongoing… Free Write! That’s “write”! Anything on your mind, when you have some free time to be creative on your blog, important things to you, or just anything random-ville. (Hmmm, an idea. Maybe a post could be Random Thoughts. I may use that!)

(The links below will be active soon to some Sixth Grade posts. Stay tuned!)

Let’s get back to the topic though – Making Categories.

Here’s the easy HOW TO

Once you’re working on a post and you’re ready to save DRAFT, look over to the righthand column and scroll down until you see Categories. Click on:

  • Add New Category
  • Type in Category name
  • Click Add New Category once again
  • Select your category that fits your post before you Draft or Submit for Review

Making categories will help lots after you have a bunch of posts but only want to look at certain ones. Just clicking on the category name on your home blog page will bring up all of those posts together.

New Posts!

Hey all readers!

6A class have 2 or 3 posts now for reading and commenting.

Past, Present, Future

Book Review

These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

When you leave a comment, please make it a Quality Comment. It’s much more meaningful for the blogger to read something worthwhile rather than … “Good job!” “Awesome!” “That’s great!” Check out the Quality Comments page for guidance. : )

Enjoy and … Happy Blogging!

2023!

Happy New Year, everyone! What a great way it is to start the year with BLOGGING!

The 6A and 6B classes will get their blogs set up and will start rolling out their thoughts on their blog page.

Blogging is a creative way to get information, ideas, reflection, comments, questions, and answers published to share with others. Our blogs will make up a great digital portfolio for the second semester this school year, too.

See you soon in the blog pages! We welcome your comments any time!
